As the year 2020 came to a close, the arcade racing genre on iOS in Australia saw varied performances among the top applications. Sensor Tower's data provides us with an intriguing look into the trends of downloads and active users during the fourth quarter.

Voodoo, a French publisher, had two apps in the race, with Shortcut Run experiencing a significant spike in downloads, reaching 70K in the first week of November and then gradually decreasing to 25K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users peaked at over 100K in early November before stabilizing around 47K in the final week of 2020. Revenue for Shortcut Run began to materialize in October, with the highest weekly revenue reaching $120K in early December.

Another Voodoo title, Scribble Rider, showed a download peak in mid-October at approximately 11K, followed by a dip and then another increase to 18K by the year's end. The weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with a notable rise to 37K in the last week of December.

For Gear Race 3D, published by Zynga Inc. from the US, the latter part of Q4 saw a dramatic surge in downloads, from a mere few to over 25K in mid-December. The active user base reflected this growth, jumping to over 52K in the third week of December.

Hashiriya Drifter: Car Games by MIDNIGHT GAMES S.R.L. of Italy showed a more consistent performance compared to its peers. The app's revenue was steady, ranging between $2.6K to $5.3K per week, while downloads and active users saw modest fluctuations, the latter ending the year at slightly over 8K.

Lastly, aquapark.io, yet another Voodoo title, saw revenues ranging from $28K to $55K per week. Downloads showed a year-end uptick from 3K in October to 12K in the last week of December, while active users increased significantly from 39K to over 61K in the same period.
